Robust production management systemA renowned Society was looking for a robust production management system (PMS) that can be customized to their workflow requirements and would support collaboration with authors, vendors, etc.
The solution was to develop a PMS that would include functionalities for article management, issue management, vendor management, automated pagination, online author proofing, handshake with multiple third-part systems and report. Thus, born this product. The features of product includes an integrated auto-pagination engine that creates near perfect proof pdfs using journal specific template and Society supplied or vendor prepared article XML as input. This enables auto generation of Accepted Manuscript package for quick online publication and quicker deliver for profs to the author using Edit Genie. The product has helped the society improve production efficiency, have better collaboration with vendors and reduce publication times.
